If your department is involved in the handling of chemicals or hazardous materials, be aware of the response procedures should a spill or other incident occur. Immediately call Public Safety at 387-5555 or 911 from a campus phone. During standard business hours, contact Environmental Safety and Emergency Management at 387-5590.

For information about the WMU Hazard Communication Program, please visit www.esem.wmich.edu/hazcom.htm

Additionally, with the global incidences of bio-terrorism, all departments handling mail must be on alert for suspicious packages and letters as well as the contents of those items.
