PACKAGES

Campus departments may now contract directly with United Parcel Service to have packages (using UPS) picked up and delivered directly to the department. This program is called Campus Ship. To take advantage of this program departments may contact Ron Grinage, Logistical Services at 387-8817 or email him directly at wmupostal@wmich.edu. In addition, please complete the following Campus Ship registration form.

When a department orders an item it is extremely important that the address is clearly stated. Be sure to alert the company that your full name, department name, Mail Stop Code, and purchase order number (if applicable) should be on the outside of the package(s).

There are two ways* in which to have packages addressed on campus:

ATTN: Individual Name
Department Name
Central Receiving
Western Michigan University
1903 W Michigan Ave
Kalamazoo MI 49008-5347

OR

Your exact campus street address and building/hall e.g.

John Smith
Department Name
123 Friedman Hall, Rm 100
Western Michigan University
1903 W Michigan Ave
Kalamazoo MI 49008-0000

*Always use the proper Mail Stop Code.

If the package has your exact address, it may be delivered directly to you by the vendor such as UPS, FedEx, Airborne, etc. If the package is on a purchase order, please be sure to call (387-8811) to let us know what was received. By doing this, items will be checked in and invoices will be paid in a timely manner.

If you are expecting an important package or delivery, please contact Freight and Delivery Services at 387-8811 or 387-8819. If there is not enough information on the package to determine a deliverable address, the package will be researched. If no address can be determined, the package will be declared undeliverable. Our policy states that any package that arrives undeliverable will be returned to the vendor within 5 working days. We ask for your assistance in this matter and hope that this will not be an inconvenience to you.
